Over 80+ years, Kankakee Nursery has grown from 20 acres to over 3000 acres, from a few varieties to 500, with millions of plants in production. From two high school buddies trying to support themselves by hand digging trees through the Great Depression, to 200 employees with an additional 50 during the peak season.

Big, however, is not what we’re about. We’ve grown because we’ve had great employees and great customers. We try to treat everyone well and with respect in every way. We believe our relationships with our customers are lasting because we provide them with quality service and plant materials, efficient delivery, understanding of their needs and a commitment to be the best we can be.

There’s always been a Worth at Kankakee Nursery. The fourth generation is on-board now. We’re busy training them, teaching them our values, and passing along everything we’ve learned over 80 years.
