A large Illinois native tree with a pyramidal habit when young, but maturing into a large, spreading crown. Good drought tolerance. Useful as a large tree for streetscapes, parks or yards, but needs room to grow. Can grow up to 80' tall. Fall color is variable, but is often a pleasing red.
